Laurel's final evaluation

I think our final film turned out very well. I think we stuck to the brief and created a realistic film. I also think our match on action and 180 degree rule were strong and could be clearly seen by the audience. Our editing was good, and the shots were clear and consise making our film flow better, as well as cutting out the unnecissary shots  like seeing Jamie open and walk through every door. However I think that in a few shots our white balance was slighty off although we set it before shooting due to the lighting in the locations we used. The music we used complimented the film because it added tension and suspense while the student was running. We used paralell editing with the teacher's feet walking and the student running, this was good because it communicated to the audience that both events were happening at the same time and showed that time was passing.
I made sure we had used shot reverse shot correctly to show the teachers and the students facial expressions and reactions in their conversation. I think this worked well because it showed the contrast between the student and the teachers authority. Although the whole group took a role in making sure that the match on action, shot reverse shot and 180 degree were applied and not broken. I think as a group we applied these techniques well which made our film fairly good.

We used the 180 degree rule when shooting the conversation between the teacher and student.
We used match on action when the student was entering the exam room.
And finally we used shot reverse shot also during the conversation between the teacher and student.

Generally I think our project turned out very well, helped by how we worked well in a team to make sure everything was completly right and we had covered all the elements that we needed to.
